What to expect for your first SUP class

Is it your first time paddle boarding? Maybe new to Luna Moon classes? Here are few things to prepare for your class reservation, what to wear, bring and the equipment.

This is a friendly and supportive learning environment. Sometimes we have to give our self a mind set to show up with, allow our self space to learn, release expectations of getting it all in the first class. Each class time you will get more confident and stronger. Remember we all have a fall or 2 off the board.

We will cover the basics before getting on the water. If you need to change or use the bathroom, we have one located in the park, within walking distance.

Each class will start with introductions, basic water safety and cover equipment. Apparel – Bathing suit under your yoga clothes, or SUP yoga specific apparel. Eye wear, hat and sunscreen. Trucker hats are great because it floats. Croakies for your glasses, so you don’t lose them or a pair you don’t mind losing in the water if you fall in. PFD’s are required on the board, if you have your own favorite one please bring it.
