Balance Board SUP Training

In this class type beginners can experience the unstable board being on land. The seasoned student can keep building core strength and enhancing their SUP skills during the off season. By practicing yoga on an unstable surface, yogis train a lot of the muscles they don’t normally use in a regular yoga class. In addition to strengthening the core, cardio and standing balancing. Different muscles are constantly called upon as your balance shifts along with your poses. Also this special class format helps in familiarizing yourself with the same boards used in the water during the summer months. If you have some fears of the water but have curiosity about a trying a challenge, this is a great starting point. This class type would be offered in studio or outside on the grass in the early spring.

Luna Moon SUP was an awesome experience for me!!! It helped me overcome fear, bringing me confidence. The women in my class were all new to me (and younger!) and we had a great time together, laughing and taking a little risk. No judgement all support!!! Misty makes this happen in an open and loving environment!! Jeremy, her husband (muscle), helped us set up and took photos and made us comfortable too. The class helped me with my balance issues on a wobbly board, so on land i think i will be better. All i can say is TRY IT!!!! BLAST!!!!

Indoor paddle board yoga, AMAZING! Misty led us in a guided yoga practice while we balanced on inflated paddle boards, which were elevated on discs. The simulation towater was awesome, allowing for an experience that was both challenging and stimulating. Taking balance to a whole new level, I found myself empowered and energized by the experience. Thank you, Misty, for offering this unique practice. It was strengthing for body and mind. I look forward to enjoying summer evenings practicing yoga on the water with you!

Indoor SUP Workshop Feedback

  • I liked the SUP workshop. I would definitely attend it again. I liked that Misty explained the yoga class very well and how it would feel to be in the water.

  • I would attend this workshop again and there was nothing I would change! I can’t think of anything that could have been done better.

  • The workshop was excellent! I would definitely take it again. I liked the initial discussion, learning about proper placement on the board, and various methods we learned for working on the board. Maybe if there is enough interest next time you could have an intermediate class that builds on what we learned in the first class.
